About Us

The South West Meccano Club is a club for Meccano enthusiasts in the South West of England and South Wales. We meet four times each year in the Bristol area with a branch in Paignton.  Our Meccano interests include history, model building, collecting and renovation. We support our hobby with shows and displays both in the local area and throughout the UK.

It is with regret that we announce the sad passing of Ralph Clark earlier this year. Ralph was well known for his wonderful locomotives (more than 40), some of which can be see on his page.

Whilst we are principally a Meccano club, many of our members have interests in other modelling and building systems.
Interested in joining? Please see our Contacts page

One of the major benefits of the membership of any club or society is the opportunity to meet like minded people and develop our shared interest by discussing plans and models, and exhibiting the results. In our club, we welcome new members of any skill level or Meccano holding: all we look for is the willingness to join in and enjoy yourselves. Remember that there are only 3 limitations to what can be achieved with Meccano. These are Time, Meccano component availability  and Imagination….oh to have all three in abundance.
